2-Hour Positive Discipline Workshop

Whether you attended a 6-Week Positive Discipline or not, this refreshing class is for you if you’d like to reduce the drama, and let go of the yelling, the hurt feelings, the guilt, and the disconnection. Feeling frustrated having to tell the same things over and over again? You are not alone! Come join us!

Effective discipline aims for two primary goals: get our kids to cooperate and do the right thing. This is the short-term goal of discipline. But a second long-term goal is just as important: building internal skills that help children develop self-control and a moral guideline so that even when authority figures are not around, they are thoughtful and conscientious.

During this 2-hour workshop, you will practice in a fun and experiential way some Positive Discipline tools, such as “Asking more, telling less”, “Focusing on Solutions”, and “Agreements” and together we will brainstorm and role-play solutions with our “Parents Helping Parents Problem-Solving Steps” activity.

This event will take place in the conference room on the second floor. There is plenty of parking available outside the building. You can park in the reserved spaces, except the ones that say ‘executive director’ and ‘associate executive director’.
