Our School. Our Family. Our Community

The Montessori Method of education, developed by Dr. Maria Montessori, is a child-centered educational approach based on scientific observations of children from birth to adulthood. The Montessori Method has been tested over time with over 100 years of success in diverse cultures throughout the world. The approach values the human spirit and the development of the whole child—physical, social, emotional, and cognitive.

What Makes Us Shine

Hands on Learning

Focused on physical discovery, social interaction, work time, and explorative sessions rather than constant direct instruction. This gives your child the confidence and the materials to satisfy their curiosity and develop independent skills they will carry into the future.

Practical Skills

In developmental stages like preschool and kindergarten, it is important for your child to learn physical, practical skills as much as they gain educational knowledge. Your child becomes independent and responsible with everyday tasks. A competent, confident child will excel in continuing education and life.

Builds Community

We are a school for children and their families. Dandelions Montessori strives to be of service to our families and build community. We host school events, field trips, parent education events, and family socials in order to strengthen our school community. We welcome families from all backgrounds.

Healthy Meals

Children participate in school cooking activities. Parents bring a selection of ingredients each Monday. Our mainly plant-based menus include a variety of vegetables, fruits, whole grains, and a variety of dairy products, including milk, yogurt, cheese, or soy beverages. Vegetarian protein foods, such as eggs, legumes, nuts, seeds, and soy products. Olive oil.

Trained Teacher

Skilled and experienced in child observation, instruction, and encouragement with the Montessori and Positive Discipline Philosophies.

What Our Families are Saying

Dandelions Montessori is a loving and safe environment for kids to learn, explore, and grow independently. With the positive discipline and positive parenting education and background, I know that my children are being spoken to in a way that is kind, yet gives them the opportunity to absorb situations in a constructive and meaningful way. – Brendan Nicholas

Natalia is an all-around wonderful educator. She is patient, organized, and nurtures the kids independence like no other. The Dandelions is a proper school with a highly qualified and accredited teacher, that has all the proper setup and materials. My son has progressed so much in the last year it’s mind-boggling. The attention he gets in this small setting is unmatched. The icing on the cake is the Positive Discipline aspect that works in tandem with the Montessori philosophy. – Marc Grynberg

My daughter has really flourished with Natalia at Dandelions Montessori. She loves going for walks, painting, cooking, and playing with her friends. She comes home happy every day and tells me about her fun adventures. The school is a place for her to be free, to express herself more independently, and to learn in a hands-on way every day. – Kara Bialostozky
